Little things matter

On Saturday afternoon I received a phone call from my friend asking to “pick up some snacks” from her place. Knowing her superb skills in cooking and her spirit of sharing and caring I jumped into the car and went to her place in no time. There were two packages of prawn pork fried wontons: one for me and our community and one for her other friend. Small snack made my day, not only because of their delicious taste, but mostly because of thoughtfulness of its creator. Little things matter. Jesus said: ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:40). This spring, this weekend, today… you and I can make someone’s day. It does not take much but for sure brings great effects. Happy Sunday everyone.
