Many shades of hope

There are many definitions of hope and there are many situations which require hope in our life.
The person who is running late might hope he/she will reach the destination on time.
Someone who is undergoing medical tests would hope that everything is okay.
How about hoping that you will be the lucky winner of a big lottery jackpot and being able to fulfil lifelong dreams.
Hope that things will get better when sequence of events doesn’t seem to shine any light.
Hope for the end of our loved one’s suffering of any kind.
And the list is endless…
Hope seems to have a strong emphasis in the believe of change: welcoming positive change, finding reasons to keep going, accepting a present situation in hope of a future change.
However, regardless our hopeful desires to get better, sometimes life does not bring what we hope for, and yet, still, we often cling on to hope.
Hope is finding the purpose or trusting the unknown or unveiled purpose of the situation. For me this is possible only in the context of faith and love. Hope is trusting that with love everything is possible, and everything will eventually change. Hope, when we believe and works, give us the feeling of being supported, understood, and loved, either by other people, the universe, or God Himself.
I truly like St Paul’s “Hymn of love” from the Chapter 13 of the letter to the Corinthians. He acknowledges that Hope and Faith go along side of Love and Love is the greatest. As much as I agree with this statement, I also think that three of them sometimes can be overlapping and may or may not include one or the other.
I believe there are different shades of hope.
How does hop
e work in your life?
Have a week filled with hope.
